The Little Carp River winds its way out of the Lake of the Clouds, through forests of fall colors. This was a very inspiration sight, in spite of the fierce winds that forced us to hold onto our tripods to prevent them from blowing away. Periodically, the wind would pause and then resume its threatening gusts.
The unique rock formations of the Big Iron River cross the river from shore to shore.
The Bonanza Falls is located on the Big Iron River and when the water if flowing heavy, this foreground would be underwater. With low water the unique striated rock formations are exposed, like stair steps down the river towards Lake Superior
