The canyon walls looked like chocolate, rough hewn by volcanic upheaval. Still nature found ways to take root and grow. This was from our time at the Bad River at one of the few places you could actually get down to the waterfront to explore.
Copper Falls surrounded by shear canyon walls was difficult to photograph due to limited open viewing locations. We had a great time here, exploring the waterfalls and rivers. Most of the afternoon was spent in a light drizzle.
The first full day of our Fall Color tour of the U.P. was spent exploring the Black River Scenic Byway waterfalls. This is the second falls in a series of five waterfalls that lead to the Black River Harbor on the shores of Lake Superior.
