Copper Falls surrounded by shear canyon walls was difficult to photograph due to limited open viewing locations. We had a great time here, exploring the waterfalls and rivers. Most of the afternoon was spent in a light drizzle.
The first full day of our Fall Color tour of the U.P. was spent exploring the Black River Scenic Byway waterfalls. This is the second falls in a series of five waterfalls that lead to the Black River Harbor on the shores of Lake Superior.
Another image of the upper falls at Bond Falls. This is from our first stop of the trip, Bond Falls. We made a slight detour to stop here on our way to Ironwood. We arrived late afternoon, and the color reflections were not as strong as they can be earlier in the day. Still, a side track well worth taking for such a beautiful waterfall.
